Actually the focus is better than sony especially better than the fx30 and so is low light video gh7 still better video in low light

After G9ii I thought it was dead. Well, a budget sensor only going forward. I think this is its last hurrah in full priced cameras.

wonder what camera was used to shoot this video ? As for the MFT is not dead. Only youtubers who need to make up something for content said it was.

This is the sensor that should been in the S9. Not a full frame. So I reallt hope they will make this into an S9-like camera, but with less limitations.

The body may be big for m43 but it’s the same as the GH6 so convenient that I could re-use my cage. Biggest selling point would be the audio for me too bad that the XLR2 is rather expensive. I’ll stick with m43 for 4reasons: compact lenses, affordable lenses, stabilisation and the audio options (on the GH6+XLR1).

Between the gh7 and the om5... logistically, I'd choose the OM-5

It's the strangest thing...got fed up with google and abandoned RUclips as viewing platform. That was quite some time ago...and I've never heard this "MFT is dead" thing until I came back to look up something about my new OM 1 mkii. Then that's all I saw. So...pretty sure it's a RUclips phenomena. Also...didn't experience any gear envy either...something worth noting. Just enjoyed shooting.

I would buy the GH7 but as a GH5 owner they released the GH5II and the GH6 without fixing the autofocus so I gave up and sold it all. It would be a huge investment to get back into the system again. Panasonic made this a failure on their own.

I want everything to be in focus so I not a bokeh hunter person but I want a fun camera, Nikon Zf is that and they have a lens that M43 doesn't have it, 28-400mm f4-8, plus I not sure why but I noticed Panasonic M43 photo quality has a rough transition and surface way too contrast look from some youtuber's photos, and for me it make no sense to make your camera smaller when it's still not phone size small and the strangers still going to notice you are holding a camera just as a user you feel like you are less intrusive and the camera is closer to you and what make the differences is actually the weight, my favourite colour is yellow color and both of the brands has it, hence I will get the Zf and that lens plus 14-30mm f4 and maybe a Voigtländer too, just I hope they make a Yellow leather body soon!

I just bought one and a 6d as well. I think 6d might be a better camera. Image quality is as good or better than 5d2 plus better focus and handling.

I'm curious about something. I have an RX100 V which I don't love, because every time I want to use it, I have to think about how to use it. It's not intuitive, at least not to me. But... it has a 24-70mm eq f/1.8-2.8 lens on a 1 inch sensor. If I'd get a GM1 with the kit 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6, and I do the equivalence math, then the Sony would behave like a fullframe camera with f/4.9-7.6 lens, and the MFT setup like a fullframe camera with f/7-11 lens. So actually, about a stop worse for low light. I think I'm correct on this(?) I'm also not sure if I like the GM1 controls much better, but that's another matter. And at least it has a focus mode switch. That's already something.

It’s very very tempting i have to say.

To obtain a lower depth of field, you do not need the size of the matrix, but a long-focus light lens. I use gh6 in conjunction with voigtlande f0.95 60mm and 17.5mm. Excellent bokeh on both lenses, the depth of field at 60mm with the aperture open is such that one eye is in focus and the other is no longer there. So I recommend buying expensive lenses because it is the optics that draws the picture. The camera captures and saves this picture. Both gh6 and gh7 have all the functions that allow you to fully control the capture and saving of the image that the optics have drawn. Remember, optics come first, buying it, it will last you a lifetime, new cameras come out every 3-5 years, previous models are getting cheaper. Be wise.

Look at this point the real benefits of m4/3, cheaper/lighter glass, plentiful glass, best stabilization, best codec/frame rate choices, open gate, etc. I mean I have full frame canon and while I could use it for videos, I just generally don't because I just haven't seen that its much better. I mean my 85mm f/1.2 DS is creamy dreamy but not always ideal for video use.

I am only watching because of Kai. No interest in current product.

I find a similarity between GH7 and FX30. The only thing I would have wanted for the GH7 is the DMW-XLR2 as the XLR Handle Unit of the FX30

Its a good camera. But unfortunately Panasonic took too long to fix the AF and the trend in the market is FF. I can see them having trouble selling them despite the improvements. I also think the price needs to be reduced to the FX30 if they want to be competitive $1,600 rather than $2,200

If far too many folks keep focusing on Smaller or they are out, it will be. The MFTs crowd is literally killing off their own product.

Can't really blame Panasonic for PDAF taking so long, Sony refused to make sensors for them that included it until, well, they didn't refuse with the S5.ii or whatever had it first from Panasonic.

I think the InCamera 20% crop to achieve an electronic stabilization, WITH the SensorShift and or Lens Steady Shot create an incredible video platform for hand held full frame video footage. Do you guys remember the video from the RX1? We have come a long way in 12 years.
